Six of the nine Oscar best picture nominees have earned nominations for the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.
Stephani Lewis of “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” Mark Bridges of “Silver Linings Playbook” and George L. Little of “Zero Dark Thirty” were nominated for excellence in contemporary film, along with Louise Stjernsward of “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” and Jany Temime of “Skyfall.”
In period film, Jacqueline West of “Argo,” Paco Delgado of “Les Miserables” and Joanna Johnston of “Lincoln” were tapped with Jacqueline Durran of “Anna Karenina” and Kasia Walicka-Maimone of “Moonrise Kingdom.”
In the Academy Awards’ makeup category, the nominees were Durran, Delgado, Johnston, Colleen Atwood of “Snow White and the Huntsman” and the late Eiki Ishioka for “Mirror Mirror.” The latter two received CDG nominations in fantasy film with Kym Barrett and Pierre-Yves Gayraud (“Cloud Atlas”), Ann Maskrey, Richard Taylor and Bob Buck (“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”) and Judianna Makovsky (“The Hunger Games”).

Makovsky, who in addition to Eduardo Castro will receive a career achievement award at the Feb. 19 kudofest, was also nominated for outstanding commercial costume design for “Captain Morgan Black,” along with Roseanne Fielder (“Capital One: Couture”) and Julie Vogel (“Dos Equis: Most Interesting Man in the World”).
The CDG also announced nominations in television, with Jennifer Rogien (“Girls”), Susie DeSanto (“Nashville”), Jill Ohanneson (“Revenge”), Molly Maginnis (“Smash”) and Alonzo Wilson and Ann Walters (“Treme”) earning bids in contemporary television.
John Dunn and Lisa Padovani (“Boardwalk Empire”), Caroline McCall (“Downton Abbey”) and Michele Clapton (“Game of Thrones”) were nominated in period/fantasy TV series, while Lou Eyrich (“American Horror Story: Asylum”), Karri Hutchinson (“Hatfields & McCoys”) and Ruth Myers (“Hemingway & Gellhorn” were pegged in movie-minis.
Clapton and “Thrones” won the 2012 Emmy for costumes in a series, while “Great Expectations” won for minis/movies.
Anne Hathaway will be given the Spotlight Award, and Lorne Michaels the Distinguished Collaborator kudo.
